Registered bed nights increased two percent
In January 2020, 921,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Stockholm County (+1.9 %), of which 636,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 285,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased four percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased three percent. In total, registered bed nights increased two percent from last year's January.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (28,300 nights).
261,000 rooms (+5.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 345,000 rooms (-5.0 %) by business visitors.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Length of stay was 1.8 nights in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. In Stockholm County, length of stay in January was on average 1.8 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (-2.0 %).
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Stockholm County on average 1.7 nights and foreigners 2.2 nights .

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased four percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 74.8 percent were domestic, and 25.2 percent were from foreign countries.
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Stockholm County on average 1.7 nights (+0.0) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-0.16).
