Registered bed nights increased 167 percent (June)

In June 2022, 925,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Stockholm (+166.6 %), of which 543,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 382,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 99 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 410 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 167 percent from last year's June.

326,000 rooms (+175.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 221,000 rooms (+142.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 2.5 million registered bed nights (+113.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1.3 million (+284.8 %) for foreigners in Stockholm, in total 3.8 million (+151.3 %) registered nights.

Market share 14.0 percent (June)

Total of 6.6 million registered bed nights (+35.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.0 million nights (+12.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+252.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Stockholm out of total registered bed nights was 14.0 % (+6.9 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 10.8 % and foreign bed nights 23.8 %.

467,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation (June)

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 166 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 63.9 percent were domestic, and 36.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Stockholm on average 1.8 nights (-0.05) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-0.25).

1.0 million air travelers

The airport received a total of 1.0 million passengers, which means air passenger arrivals increased 120 percent.

Of local passengers, 86.2 % arrived from abroad, thus the share of domestic passengers was 13.8 %.

In addition, there were 1.0 million passengers departing the airport (+105.3 %), therefore the total number of trips via the airport was 2.0 million (+112.5 %).
