Registered bed nights increased four percent
In February 2020, 656,000 bed nights were recorded in Stockholm (+4.2 %), of which 410,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 246,000 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased nine percent and foreign bed nights decreased four percent. In total, bed nights increased four percent from last year's February.
218,000 rooms (+12.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 210,000 rooms (-4.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and February, 779,000 bed nights (+5.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 480,000 (-3.6 %) for foreigners in Stockholm, in total 1.3 million (+2.0 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

361,000 tourists arrived to accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased seven percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 69.8 percent were domestic, and 30.2 percent were from foreign countries.
During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Stockholm on average 1.6 nights (-0.05) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+0.03).
901,000 air travelers
The airport received a total of 901,000 passengers, which means air passenger arrivals decreased four percent.
Of local passengers, 72.9 % arrived from abroad, thus the share of domestic passengers was 27.1 %.
In addition, there were 922,000 passengers departing the airport (-7.0 %), therefore the total number of trips via the airport was 1.8 million (-5.6 %).

Registered accommodation sales in February were 536.9 million SEK (+14.5 million).
Registered January-February sales were 1.0 billion SEK and they increased 324,000 euro from the previous year.
