759,000 registered bed nights
In April 2019, 759,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Stockholm (-1.2 %), of which 443,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 317,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased two percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased six percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased one percent from last year's April.
241,000 rooms (+17.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 232,000 rooms (-13.0 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 1.6 million registered bed nights (+7.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1.1 million (-3.1 %) for foreigners in Stockholm, in total 2.7 million (+2.8 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

376,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 64.6 percent were domestic, and 35.4 percent were from foreign countries.
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Stockholm on average 1.8 nights (+0.04) and foreigners 2.4 nights (-0.05).
1.1 million air travelers
The airport received a total of 1.1 million passengers, which means air passenger arrivals decreased 10 percent.
Of local passengers, 75.2 % arrived from abroad, thus the share of domestic passengers was 24.8 %.
In addition, there were 1.1 million passengers departing the airport (-5.4 %), therefore the total number of trips via the airport was 2.3 million (-8.0 %).

Registered accommodation sales in April were 577.3 million crowns (-102.5 million).
Registered January-April sales were 2.2 billion crowns and they decreased 3.2 million crowns from the previous year.

Domestic visitors and their consumption
The number of domestic visitors in April was 994,000 (+0.3 %). Out of them 425,000 were on a daytrip and 569,000 stayed at least for one night.
The cumulative number of domestic visitors between January and April was 2.9 million (+7.0 %).
Total consumption of these visitors in Stockholm in April was 2.1 billion crowns (2,094 per visitor). Overnight visitors spent 1.6 billion crowns and day visitors 485.9 million crowns. Between January and April the consumption was 7.4 billion crowns.

Coefficients of number of daily visitors and overnight visitors are calculated regional and monthly level.
