883,000 registered bed nights
In September 2019, 883,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Stockholm (+0.5 %), of which 503,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 380,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased five percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased five percent. In total, registered bed nights increased less than one percent from last year's September.
285,000 rooms (+17.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 301,000 rooms (-0.9 %) by business visitors.
Between January and September, 4.4 million registered bed nights (+11.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3.6 million (-2.7 %) for foreigners in Stockholm, in total 8.0 million (+4.6 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

459,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased five percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 62.6 percent were domestic, and 37.4 percent were from foreign countries.
During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Stockholm on average 1.8 nights (-0.05) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-0.11).
1.3 million air travelers
The airport received a total of 1.3 million passengers, which means air passenger arrivals decreased three percent.
Of local passengers, 75.0 % arrived from abroad, thus the share of domestic passengers was 25.0 %.
In addition, there were 1.3 million passengers departing the airport (-2.9 %), therefore the total number of trips via the airport was 2.5 million (-2.7 %).

Registered accommodation sales in September were 928.0 million crowns (+101.6 million).
Registered January-September sales were 6.6 billion crowns and they increased 345.0 million crowns from the previous year.

Domestic visitors and their consumption
The number of domestic visitors in September was 1.2 million (+8.0 %). Out of them 752,000 were on a daytrip and 442,000 stayed at least for one night.
The cumulative number of domestic visitors between January and September was 8.2 million (+11.9 %).
Total consumption of these visitors in Stockholm in September was 1.9 billion crowns (1,608 per visitor). Overnight visitors spent 1.3 billion crowns and day visitors 595.3 million crowns. Between January and September the consumption was 17.1 billion crowns.

Coefficients of number of daily visitors and overnight visitors are calculated regional and monthly level.
