Registered bed nights increased 167 percent
In June 2022, 925,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Stockholm (+166.6 %), of which 543,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 382,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 99 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 410 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 167 percent from last year's June.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (66,200 nights).
326,000 rooms (+175.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 221,000 rooms (+142.9 %) by business visitors.
Between January and June, 2.5 million registered bed nights (+113.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1.3 million (+284.8 %) for foreigners in Stockholm, in total 3.8 million (+151.3 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 166 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 63.9 percent were domestic, and 36.1 percent were from foreign countries.
During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Stockholm on average 1.8 nights (-0.05) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-0.25).

The airport received a total of 971,000 passengers, which means air passenger arrivals increased 330 percent.
Of local passengers, 80.4 % arrived from abroad, thus the share of domestic passengers was 19.6 %.
In addition, there were 1.1 million passengers departing the airport (+279.2 %), therefore the total number of trips via the airport was 2.0 million (+302.2 %).
