Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased seven percent

In March 2023, 15,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Storuman (+7.1 %), of which 10,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased six percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 10 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased seven percent from last year's March.

4,400 rooms (+78.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,900 rooms (+19.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 22,000 registered bed nights (+6.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,000 (+29.0 %) for foreigners in Storuman, in total 33,000 (+13.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+4.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (+2.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 747,000 nights (+15.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Storuman out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.6 %.

Length of stay was 2.9 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 26 percent compared to earlier year. In Storuman, length of stay in March was on average 2.9 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-6.3 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Storuman on average 3.1 nights (-29.2 %) and foreigners 2.5 nights (-17.9 %).

5,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 45 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 65.0 percent were domestic, and 35.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Storuman on average 3.1 nights (-1.1) and foreigners 2.5 nights (-0.82).
