Registered bed nights increased 95 percent
In December 2021, 6,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Storuman (+95.4 %), of which 5,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 950 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 86 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 167 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 95 percent from last year's December.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (590 nights).
1,200 rooms (+86.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,200 rooms (+128.8 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 70,000 registered bed nights (+8.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 17,900 (+3.1 %) for foreigners in Storuman, in total 87,900 (+7.3 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 69 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 82.4 percent were domestic, and 17.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Storuman on average 3.2 nights (+0.64) and foreigners 2.8 nights (-1.9).
