2,800 registered bed nights

In May 2020, 2,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Storuman (-52.2 %), of which 2,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 71 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 21 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 97 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 52 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (34 nights).

280 rooms (-43.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 600 rooms (-55.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 27,400 registered bed nights (-42.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 10,700 (-44.8 %) for foreigners in Storuman, in total 38,100 (-43.2 %) registered nights.

Length of stay increased 35 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 35 percent compared to earlier year. In Storuman, length of stay in May was on average 3.9 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (+30.7 %).

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Storuman on average 4.0 nights (+6.2 %) and foreigners 2.7 nights (+16.3 %).

720 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 65 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.4 percent were domestic, and 3.6 percent were from foreign countries.
