Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 94 percent

In February 2023, 4,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Strängnäs (+93.8 %), of which 4,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 106 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 19 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 94 percent from last year's February.

880 rooms (+57.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,100 rooms (+49.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 9,100 registered bed nights (+116.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 410 (+21.8 %) for foreigners in Strängnäs, in total 9,600 (+109.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+20.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+17.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 756,000 nights (+32.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Strängnäs out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay increased 43 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 43 percent compared to earlier year. In Strängnäs, length of stay in February was on average 3.0 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-5.0 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Strängnäs on average 3.1 nights (+50.0 %) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-11.1 %).

1,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 35 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.0 percent were domestic, and 7.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Strängnäs on average 3.1 nights (+1.0) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.67).
