Strängnäs: Tourism in a nutshell

Registered bed nights increased nine percent
In August 2022, 13,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Strängnäs (+9.4 %), of which 10,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased four percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 29 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased nine percent from last year's August.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (2,000 nights).
2,300 rooms (-0.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 860 rooms (+1.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and August, 52,600 registered bed nights (+16.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,500 (+98.8 %) for foreigners in Strängnäs, in total 64,100 (+25.4 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 21 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.6 percent were domestic, and 10.4 percent were from foreign countries.
During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Strängnäs on average 3.6 nights (+0.92) and foreigners 10 nights (+2.2).
