Strömsund: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 42 percent
In May 2022, 4,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Strömsund (+41.7 %), of which 1,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 22 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 60 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 42 percent from last year's May.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Croatia (1,100 nights).
760 rooms (+104.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,800 rooms (+11.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 14,100 registered bed nights (+14.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,800 (+59.6 %) for foreigners in Strömsund, in total 21,800 (+27.4 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 42 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 33.8 percent were domestic, and 66.2 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Strömsund on average 2.0 nights (-0.77) and foreigners 1.4 nights (+0.26).
