Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 26 percent

In September 2018, 10,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Sunne (+26.0 %), of which 9,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 21 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 63 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 26 percent from last year's September.

3,300 rooms (+32.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,000 rooms (+18.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 118,000 registered bed nights (+39.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 74,000 (+16.3 %) for foreigners in Sunne, in total 192,000 (+29.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (-0.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.3 million nights (-1.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (+2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sunne out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased three percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. In Sunne, length of stay in September was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (+0.8 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sunne on average 1.6 nights (-23.8 %) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-5.9 %).

6,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 22 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.4 percent were domestic, and 11.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sunne on average 1.6 nights (-0.02) and foreigners 2.2 nights (+0.54).
