Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 66 percent

In May 2021, 8,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Sunne (+65.7 %), of which 7,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 820 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 58 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 188 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 66 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (420 nights).

2,000 rooms (+83.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 680 rooms (-26.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 31,700 registered bed nights (+8.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,300 (-62.2 %) for foreigners in Sunne, in total 33,000 (+1.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.3 million registered bed nights (+46.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.0 million nights (+45.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 291,000 nights (+65.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sunne out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay was 1.9 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 18 percent compared to earlier year. In Sunne, length of stay in May was on average 1.9 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (-5.3 %).

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sunne on average 1.7 nights (-16.5 %) and foreigners 4.5 nights (+28.8 %).

4,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 101 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.9 percent were domestic, and 4.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sunne on average 1.7 nights (-0.46) and foreigners 4.5 nights (+0.89).
