Sunnhordland: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased nine percent
In May 2022, 22,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Sunnhordland (+9.3 %), of which 17,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 13 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 690 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased nine percent from last year's May.
4,600 nights (-7.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 4,800 nights (-11.8 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 52,500 registered bed nights (-3.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,700 (+164.3 %) for foreigners in Sunnhordland, in total 64,200 (+8.7 %) registered nights.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 29 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 82.2 percent were domestic, and 17.8 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sunnhordland on average 2.1 nights (-0.52) and foreigners 2.9 nights (-1.8).

Registered accommodation sales in May were 12.6 million crowns (+1.1 million).
Registered January-May sales were 43.4 million crowns and they decreased 2.1 million crowns from the previous year.
