7,800 registered bed nights

In November 2020, 7,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Sunnhordland (-5.9 %), of which 6,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 970 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 11 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 59 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased six percent from last year's November.

730 nights (-42.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 5,800 nights (+2.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and November, 153,000 registered bed nights (+9.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 26,500 (-44.3 %) for foreigners in Sunnhordland, in total 180,000 (-4.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 861,000 registered bed nights (-56.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 751,000 nights (-54.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 111,000 nights (-67.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Sunnhordland out of total registered bed nights was 0.9 % (+0.5 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.9 % and foreign bed nights 0.9 %.

Length of stay increased 59 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 59 percent compared to earlier year. In Sunnhordland, length of stay in November was on average 3.0 nights and in Norway 2.4 nights (+37.9 %).

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sunnhordland on average 2.7 nights (+16.4 %) and foreigners 8.8 nights (+43.2 %).

2,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 41 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.8 percent were domestic, and 4.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Sunnhordland on average 2.7 nights (+0.88) and foreigners 8.8 nights (+6.3).
