Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 18 percent

In August 2021, 8,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Svenljunga (+18.0 %), of which 7,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 560 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 14 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 153 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 18 percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (300 nights).

400 rooms (+25.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 61 rooms (-33.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 32,100 registered bed nights (+11.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,400 (+110.3 %) for foreigners in Svenljunga, in total 33,500 (+13.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 8.4 million registered bed nights (+39.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 6.8 million nights (+25.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+160.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Svenljunga out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay increased three percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. In Svenljunga, length of stay in August was on average 2.7 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-3.6 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Svenljunga on average 2.8 nights (+5.0 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-6.8 %).

3,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 15 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.8 percent were domestic, and 9.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Svenljunga on average 2.8 nights (+0.13) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.17).
