Registered bed nights increased two percent
In September 2019, 4.5 million bed nights were recorded in Sweden (+2.0 %), of which 3.4 million nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased three percent and foreign bed nights decreased one percent. In total, bed nights increased two percent from last year's September.
Between January and September, 41.1 million bed nights (+4.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 15.1 million (+2.0 %) for foreigners in Sweden, in total 56.2 million (+3.5 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

3.7 million air travelers
The airport received a total of 3.7 million passengers, which means air passenger arrivals decreased two percent.
Of local passengers, 69.4 % arrived from abroad, thus the share of domestic passengers was 30.6 %.
In addition, there were 2.4 million passengers departing the airport (-3.0 %), therefore the total number of trips via the airport was 1.7 million (-5.4 %).
