Registered bed nights increased 25 percent
In Jan–Dec 2021, 54.2 million registered bed nights were recorded in Sweden (+25.1 %), of which 46.9 million nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7.3 million nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 23 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 40 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 25 percent from last year's Jan–Dec.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (1.7 million nights).
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

5.9 million air travelers
The airport received a total of 5.9 million passengers, which means air passenger arrivals increased 13 percent.
Of local passengers, 66.1 % arrived from abroad, thus the share of domestic passengers was 33.9 %.
In addition, there were 6.0 million passengers departing the airport (+19.3 %), therefore the total number of trips via the airport was 9.9 million (+17.3 %).

There were 7.0 million arriving passengers by ferries. In total, the arrivals to port decreased 55 percent. Most arrivals were from Finland (1.4 million arrivals).
