Registered bed nights increased 36 percent

In September 2021, 7,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Tahko (+35.9 %), of which 7,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 320 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 32 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 220 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 36 percent from last year's September.

5,400 nights (+26.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,100 nights (+68.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 85,800 registered bed nights (+21.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,300 (-72.9 %) for foreigners in Tahko, in total 88,100 (+11.5 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.5 percent

Total of 1.6 million registered bed nights (+29.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.4 million nights (+21.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 204,000 nights (+121.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Tahko out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

3,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 58 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.2 percent were domestic, and 5.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tahko on average 2.0 nights (-0.26) and foreigners 1.5 nights (-3.1).

Ferry arrivals from different harbors

Trips by Russian travelers over the eastern border increased 40 percent

A total of 33,400 Russians arrived in Finland over the eastern border crossings.

Russian visa applications increased 270 percent

There was a total of 2,200 visa applications to Finland made by the Russians. 52.3 percent were done at St. Petersburg's consulate.

Accommodation sales 422,000 euro

Registered accommodation sales in September were 422,000 euro (+181,000).

Registered January-September sales were 4.5 million euro and they increased 992,000 euro from the previous year.
