5,500 registered bed nights

In September 2020, 5,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Tahko (-7.9 %), of which 5,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased two percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 77 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased eight percent from last year's September.

4,300 nights (-5.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,200 nights (-16.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 70,300 registered bed nights (-18.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 8,600 (-38.1 %) for foreigners in Tahko, in total 79,000 (-21.5 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 1.2 million registered bed nights (-32.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.1 million nights (-12.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 92,200 nights (-82.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Tahko out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

2,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 34 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.1 percent were domestic, and 0.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tahko on average 2.2 nights (+0.68) and foreigners 4.5 nights (+1.2).

23,800 Russian travelers via eastern border

A total of 23,800 Russians arrived in Finland over the eastern border crossings.

Russian visa applications decreased 99 percent

There was a total of 610 visa applications to Finland made by the Russians. 60.7 percent were done at St. Petersburg's consulate.

Accommodation sales 241,000 euro

Registered accommodation sales in September were 241,000 euro (-58,700).

Registered January-September sales were 3.5 million euro and they decreased 1.2 million euro from the previous year.
