In January 2018, 14,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Tahko (-3.9 %), of which 8,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 11 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased eight percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased four percent from last year's January.
12,400 nights (-5.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,600 nights (+9.9 %) by business visitors.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased six percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased six percent compared to earlier year. In Tahko, length of stay in January was on average 3.2 nights and in Finland 2.0 nights (-0.3 %).
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tahko on average 2.4 nights and foreigners 5.8 nights .

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased nine percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 77.7 percent were domestic, and 22.3 percent were from foreign countries.
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tahko on average 2.4 nights (+0.06) and foreigners 5.8 nights (0.0).
