Registered bed nights increased 14 percent
In November 2018, 3,600 bed nights were recorded in Tahko (+13.8 %), of which 3,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 45 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 14 percent and foreign bed nights increased 12 percent. In total, bed nights increased 14 percent from last year's November.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Russia (15 nights).
2,700 nights (+10.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 940 nights (+23.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and November, 98,800 bed nights (-0.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 15,800 (+15.6 %) for foreigners in Tahko, in total 115,000 (+1.5 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

2,400 tourists arrived to accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 11 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 98.9 percent were domestic, and 1.1 percent were from foreign countries.
During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tahko on average 1.5 nights (+0.04) and foreigners 1.8 nights (+0.51).

Trips by Russian travelers over the eastern border increased two percent
A total of 249,000 Russians arrived in Finland over the eastern border crossings.
The share of southeastern border stations was 90.0 percent.

There was a total of 58,800 visa applications to Finland made by the Russians. 78.9 percent were done at St. Petersburg's consulate.
Accommodation sales 143,000 euro
Registered accommodation sales in November were 143,000 euro (+23,400).
Registered January-November sales were 4.7 million euro and they increased 176,000 euro from the previous year.
