Registered bed nights increased five percent
In February 2019, 21,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Tahko (+4.7 %), of which 19,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased eight percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 20 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased five percent from last year's February.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Russia (1,300 nights).
18,400 nights (-0.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,700 nights (+53.4 %) by business visitors.
Between January and February, 27,100 registered bed nights (+3.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,900 (-13.7 %) for foreigners in Tahko, in total 34,000 (-0.4 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased six percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased six percent compared to earlier year. In Tahko, length of stay in February was on average 2.8 nights and in Finland 2.0 nights (-1.3 %).
During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tahko on average 2.7 nights (+1.0 %) and foreigners 4.7 nights (+5.1 %).
7,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.8 percent were domestic, and 5.2 percent were from foreign countries.
During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tahko on average 2.7 nights (+0.14) and foreigners 4.7 nights (+1.0).
