Registered bed nights increased 29 percent
In September 2022, 130,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Tampere Region (+28.5 %), of which 114,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 16,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 23 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 89 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 29 percent from last year's September.
71,100 nights (+16.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 59,300 nights (+46.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and September, 1.0 million registered bed nights (+34.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 134,000 (+212.8 %) for foreigners in Tampere Region, in total 1.2 million (+43.9 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 38 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.6 percent were domestic, and 8.4 percent were from foreign countries.
During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tampere Region on average 1.5 nights (-0.14) and foreigners 2.4 nights (-0.06).

Registered accommodation sales in September were 10.9 million euro (+3.9 million).
Registered January-September sales were 81.1 million euro and they increased 37.9 million euro from the previous year.
