Registered bed nights increased 39 percent

In December 2021, 7,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Tanum (+39.3 %), of which 6,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 23 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 720 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 39 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (790 nights).

1,200 rooms (+98.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,000 rooms (+268.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 358,000 registered bed nights (+9.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 47,100 (+115.8 %) for foreigners in Tanum, in total 406,000 (+16.2 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.2 percent

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Tanum out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

4,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 109 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.7 percent were domestic, and 13.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tanum on average 1.9 nights (-1.0) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+0.35).
