Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 38 percent

In August 2020, 11,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Tidaholm (+38.5 %), of which 11,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 360 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 61 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 74 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 38 percent from last year's August.

490 rooms (-21.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 430 rooms (-27.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 50,400 registered bed nights (+46.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,200 (-80.4 %) for foreigners in Tidaholm, in total 51,600 (+27.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 6.1 million registered bed nights (-31.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.4 million nights (-10.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 615,000 nights (-77.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Tidaholm out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased four percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased four percent compared to earlier year. In Tidaholm, length of stay in August was on average 2.9 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (+6.0 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tidaholm on average 2.9 nights (+11.3 %) and foreigners 2.9 nights (+1.9 %).

4,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 33 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.9 percent were domestic, and 3.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tidaholm on average 2.9 nights (+0.09) and foreigners 2.9 nights (+0.24).
