Registered bed nights increased five percent

In June 2020, 4,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Timrå (+4.5 %), of which 4,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 142 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 31 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 86 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased five percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (83 nights).

87 rooms (-53.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 189 rooms (-72.0 %) by business visitors.

Market share 0.1 percent

Total of 3.7 million registered bed nights (-48.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (-32.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 257,000 nights (-87.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Timrå out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

2,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased four percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.8 percent were domestic, and 3.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Timrå on average 2.4 nights (+0.16) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+0.19).
