Registered bed nights increased 11 percent

In September 2020, 2,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Timrå (+11.0 %), of which 2,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 210 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 27 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 51 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 11 percent from last year's September.

141 rooms (+13.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 590 rooms (-30.5 %) by business visitors.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-19.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 441,000 nights (-61.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Timrå out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

1,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 23 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.1 percent were domestic, and 10.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Timrå on average 2.1 nights (+0.08) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-2.6).
