Registered bed nights increased 15 percent

In July 2020, 12,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Timrå (+14.6 %), of which 12,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 52 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 93 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 15 percent from last year's July.

820 rooms (+130.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 187 rooms (-63.0 %) by business visitors.

Total of 9.4 million registered bed nights (-30.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 8.8 million nights (-5.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 551,000 nights (-86.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Timrå out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

5,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 14 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.5 percent were domestic, and 1.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Timrå on average 2.3 nights (+0.03) and foreigners 2.4 nights (+0.06).
