Registered bed nights increased 63 percent
In April 2021, 4,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Tjörn (+62.5 %), of which 4,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 220 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 60 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 114 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 63 percent from last year's April.
1,100 rooms (+65.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 620 rooms (+63.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 10,700 registered bed nights (-13.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 800 (-58.5 %) for foreigners in Tjörn, in total 11,500 (-19.2 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 69 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.0 percent were domestic, and 4.0 percent were from foreign countries.
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tjörn on average 1.8 nights (-0.06) and foreigners 2.4 nights (-1.2).
