8,000 registered bed nights

In June 2020, 8,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Tjörn (-36.4 %), of which 7,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 550 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 23 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 81 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 36 percent from last year's June.

1,800 rooms (-39.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 610 rooms (-57.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 24,300 registered bed nights (-21.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,600 (-59.4 %) for foreigners in Tjörn, in total 26,900 (-27.7 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.2 percent

Total of 3.7 million registered bed nights (-48.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (-32.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 257,000 nights (-87.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Tjörn out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

3,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 46 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.2 percent were domestic, and 4.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tjörn on average 2.2 nights (+0.28) and foreigners 3.1 nights (+1.2).
