Registered bed nights increased 82 percent
In September 2021, 10,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Tjörn (+82.4 %), of which 9,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 71 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 230 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 82 percent from last year's September.
2,600 rooms (+53.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,700 rooms (+23.0 %) by business visitors.
Between January and September, 123,000 registered bed nights (+108.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,600 (+57.7 %) for foreigners in Tjörn, in total 130,000 (+104.6 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
