Registered bed nights increased eight percent

In May 2022, 4,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Tomelilla (+7.9 %), of which 4,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 460 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased less than one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 210 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased eight percent from last year's May.

2,100 rooms (+6.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 330 rooms (+61.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 12,600 registered bed nights (+22.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,100 (+165.5 %) for foreigners in Tomelilla, in total 13,700 (+28.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Tomelilla out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

3,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased nine percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.3 percent were domestic, and 8.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tomelilla on average 1.5 nights (-0.02) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.76).
