In February 2019, 3,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Torniolaakso (-1.6 %), of which 350 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 53 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 12 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased two percent from last year's February.
3,200 nights (-4.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 160 nights (+110.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and February, 840 registered bed nights (-24.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,500 (+7.9 %) for foreigners in Torniolaakso, in total 6,300 (+1.9 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased three percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. In Torniolaakso, length of stay in February was on average 3.3 nights and in Finland 2.0 nights (-1.3 %).
During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Torniolaakso on average 1.2 nights (-22.1 %) and foreigners 4.2 nights (+4.4 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased four percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 29.4 percent were domestic, and 70.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Torniolaakso on average 1.2 nights (-0.77) and foreigners 4.2 nights (+0.26).
