Registered bed nights increased 23 percent

In December 2021, 6,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Torsby (+23.3 %), of which 5,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 11 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 220 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 23 percent from last year's December.

840 rooms (+112.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 740 rooms (+28.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 138,000 registered bed nights (+6.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 34,500 (+124.9 %) for foreigners in Torsby, in total 173,000 (+19.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.2 percent

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Torsby out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

2,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 50 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.7 percent were domestic, and 11.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Torsby on average 2.4 nights (-0.63) and foreigners 3.6 nights (-0.56).
