Registered bed nights increased 42 percent

In May 2022, 13,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Torsby (+42.1 %), of which 8,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased eight percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 290 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 42 percent from last year's May.

1,100 rooms (+87.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 750 rooms (+22.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 55,000 registered bed nights (+0.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 9,800 (+277.4 %) for foreigners in Torsby, in total 64,800 (+12.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Torsby out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

5,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 80 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 67.7 percent were domestic, and 32.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Torsby on average 2.2 nights (-0.44) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-3.9).
