Registered bed nights increased 40 percent

In May 2022, 9,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Tranås (+39.5 %), of which 7,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 26 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 350 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 40 percent from last year's May.

1,900 rooms (+87.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,600 rooms (+135.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 21,300 registered bed nights (+12.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,300 (+282.9 %) for foreigners in Tranås, in total 24,600 (+24.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Tranås out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

4,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 59 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 87.8 percent were domestic, and 12.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tranås on average 1.9 nights (-0.33) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+0.45).
