Registered bed nights increased 59 percent

In December 2021, 3,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Tranås (+59.1 %), of which 3,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 550 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 41 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 440 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 59 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (115 nights).

1,200 rooms (+80.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,300 rooms (+172.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 71,600 registered bed nights (+16.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,000 (+182.9 %) for foreigners in Tranås, in total 82,600 (+26.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Tranås out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

2,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 115 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.9 percent were domestic, and 13.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tranås on average 1.7 nights (-0.69) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+0.33).
