Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased five percent

In September 2020, 5,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Tranås (+5.3 %), of which 5,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 390 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 24 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 66 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased five percent from last year's September.

1,400 rooms (-22.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,300 rooms (-31.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 52,000 registered bed nights (-15.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,100 (-82.3 %) for foreigners in Tranås, in total 55,100 (-30.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-20.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 436,000 nights (-62.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Tranås out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 50 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 50 percent compared to earlier year. In Tranås, length of stay in September was on average 2.7 nights and in Sweden 2.0 nights (+4.9 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tranås on average 2.7 nights (+69.1 %) and foreigners 4.7 nights (+31.9 %).

2,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 30 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.0 percent were domestic, and 4.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tranås on average 2.7 nights (+0.9) and foreigners 4.7 nights (+2.5).
