Registered bed nights increased 94 percent

In December 2021, 4,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Trelleborg (+93.8 %), of which 3,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 430 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 84 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 250 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 94 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (151 nights).

1,000 rooms (+149.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,100 rooms (+56.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 111,000 registered bed nights (+41.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 21,900 (+119.9 %) for foreigners in Trelleborg, in total 133,000 (+50.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Trelleborg out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

2,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 122 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.7 percent were domestic, and 10.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trelleborg on average 1.9 nights (-0.36) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+0.55).
