Trelleborg: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered bed nights increased 34 percent
In September 2019, 8,700 bed nights were recorded in Trelleborg (+34.3 %), of which 5,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,400 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 23 percent and foreign bed nights increased 58 percent. In total, bed nights increased 34 percent from last year's September.
1,500 rooms (+22.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,100 rooms (+67.0 %) by business visitors.
Between January and September, 73,200 bed nights (+12.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 31,800 (+41.2 %) for foreigners in Trelleborg, in total 105,000 (+19.9 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 29 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 55.6 percent were domestic, and 44.4 percent were from foreign countries.
During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trelleborg on average 2.0 nights (+0.26) and foreigners 1.5 nights (-0.18).
