Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased three percent

In March 2019, 3,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Trelleborg (+3.3 %), of which 2,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 930 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased two percent and registered foreign bed nights increased six percent. In total, registered bed nights increased three percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (230 nights).

740 rooms (-8.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,200 rooms (+6.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 6,100 registered bed nights (+28.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,300 (+23.3 %) for foreigners in Trelleborg, in total 8,400 (+27.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.5 million registered bed nights (-3.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.6 million nights (-1.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 888,000 nights (-12.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Trelleborg out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 16 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 16 percent compared to earlier year. In Trelleborg, length of stay in March was on average 2.0 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-4.6 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trelleborg on average 2.0 nights (+16.9 %) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+14.5 %).

1,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 11 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 69.1 percent were domestic, and 30.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trelleborg on average 2.0 nights (+0.37) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.01).
