Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 23 percent

In April 2019, 4,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Trelleborg (+22.5 %), of which 3,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 19 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 32 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 23 percent from last year's April.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (260 nights).

1,000 rooms (+14.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,200 rooms (+3.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 9,400 registered bed nights (+25.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,500 (+26.4 %) for foreigners in Trelleborg, in total 12,900 (+25.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.3 million registered bed nights (+5.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.3 million nights (+4.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 953,000 nights (+8.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Trelleborg out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 12 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 12 percent compared to earlier year. In Trelleborg, length of stay in April was on average 2.2 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (+1.4 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trelleborg on average 2.2 nights (+15.0 %) and foreigners 2.2 nights (+13.0 %).

2,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 10 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 72.0 percent were domestic, and 28.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trelleborg on average 2.2 nights (+0.24) and foreigners 2.2 nights (+0.19).
