Registered bed nights increased 49 percent

In March 2021, 2,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Trelleborg (+49.1 %), of which 2,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 57 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 10 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 49 percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (74 nights).

540 rooms (+74.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 670 rooms (+1.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 6,100 registered bed nights (+11.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 700 (-53.0 %) for foreigners in Trelleborg, in total 6,800 (-2.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+2.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+10.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 193,000 nights (-52.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Trelleborg out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

1,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 50 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.1 percent were domestic, and 11.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trelleborg on average 1.8 nights (-0.06) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+0.27).
