Registered bed nights increased 77 percent

In May 2021, 11,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Trelleborg (+77.0 %), of which 11,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 480 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 84 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased four percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 77 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (163 nights).

1,500 rooms (+117.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,600 rooms (+237.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 21,000 registered bed nights (+54.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,600 (-26.6 %) for foreigners in Trelleborg, in total 22,600 (+43.3 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 3.3 million registered bed nights (+46.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.0 million nights (+44.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 291,000 nights (+65.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Trelleborg out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

4,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 47 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.1 percent were domestic, and 4.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trelleborg on average 2.7 nights (+0.37) and foreigners 2.2 nights (+0.82).
