Registered bed nights increased 58 percent

In May 2022, 11,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Trollhättan (+58.0 %), of which 9,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 35 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 470 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 58 percent from last year's May.

1,700 rooms (+81.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,400 rooms (+78.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 35,300 registered bed nights (+61.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,500 (+436.8 %) for foreigners in Trollhättan, in total 41,800 (+81.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Trollhättan out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

7,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 89 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 83.5 percent were domestic, and 16.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trollhättan on average 1.5 nights (-0.32) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.69).
