Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased two percent

In March 2019, 12,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Trollhättan (+2.0 %), of which 10,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased five percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 12 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased two percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (210 nights).

2,300 rooms (-11.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,800 rooms (+11.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 23,700 registered bed nights (+6.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,300 (+19.0 %) for foreigners in Trollhättan, in total 30,100 (+9.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.5 million registered bed nights (-3.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.6 million nights (-1.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 888,000 nights (-12.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Trollhättan out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay increased two percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. In Trollhättan, length of stay in March was on average 1.9 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-4.6 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trollhättan on average 1.9 nights (+8.2 %) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+2.6 %).

6,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased less than one percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 87.7 percent were domestic, and 12.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trollhättan on average 1.9 nights (+0.02) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+0.18).
