Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased three percent

In September 2019, 12,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Trollhättan (+2.7 %), of which 9,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 20 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased three percent from last year's September.

2,700 rooms (+1.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,300 rooms (-2.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 102,000 registered bed nights (-0.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 35,900 (+6.0 %) for foreigners in Trollhättan, in total 138,000 (+0.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.5 million registered bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+3.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (-1.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Trollhättan out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay was 1.6 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 10 percent compared to earlier year. In Trollhättan, length of stay in September was on average 1.6 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-1.3 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trollhättan on average 1.5 nights (-2.5 %) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-6.6 %).

7,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 15 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 84.9 percent were domestic, and 15.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trollhättan on average 1.5 nights (-0.21) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-0.14).
