Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased one percent

In October 2019, 13,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Trollhättan (+1.1 %), of which 11,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased four percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 16 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased one percent from last year's October.

2,900 rooms (+33.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,600 rooms (-11.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 113,000 registered bed nights (-0.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 37,700 (+4.7 %) for foreigners in Trollhättan, in total 151,000 (+0.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+3.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.1 million nights (+5.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 936,000 nights (-2.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Trollhättan out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay was 1.8 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. In Trollhättan, length of stay in October was on average 1.8 nights and in Sweden 1.8 nights (-0.5 %).

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trollhättan on average 1.7 nights (-2.6 %) and foreigners 2.4 nights (-5.1 %).

7,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.8 percent were domestic, and 10.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trollhättan on average 1.7 nights (-0.05) and foreigners 2.4 nights (+0.24).
