14,500 registered bed nights

In August 2020, 14,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Trollhättan (-33.8 %), of which 13,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 17 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 76 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 34 percent from last year's August.

2,500 rooms (-43.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,700 rooms (-42.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 71,600 registered bed nights (-22.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,000 (-82.0 %) for foreigners in Trollhättan, in total 77,600 (-38.2 %) registered nights.

The market share of Trollhättan out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay increased 23 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 23 percent compared to earlier year. In Trollhättan, length of stay in August was on average 2.9 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (+6.0 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trollhättan on average 2.8 nights (+23.0 %) and foreigners 4.0 nights (-17.2 %).

5,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 46 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.5 percent were domestic, and 7.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trollhättan on average 2.8 nights (+0.71) and foreigners 4.0 nights (+0.54).
