Paid bed nights

11,100 registered bed nights

In October 2021, 11,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Trollhättan (-1.8 %), of which 9,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 11 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased two percent from last year's October.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (500 nights).

2,800 rooms (+10.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,000 rooms (-8.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 85,200 registered bed nights (-5.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,200 (+37.7 %) for foreigners in Trollhättan, in total 96,300 (-1.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+25.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (+19.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 708,000 nights (+57.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Trollhättan out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay was 1.6 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 19 percent compared to earlier year. In Trollhättan, length of stay in October was on average 1.6 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-4.6 %).

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trollhättan on average 1.6 nights (-13.7 %) and foreigners 1.6 nights (+4.7 %).

7,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 22 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.3 percent were domestic, and 11.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trollhättan on average 1.6 nights (-0.31) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-1.2).
