Registered bed nights increased 85 percent

In May 2021, 79,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Troms Og Finnmark (+85.2 %), of which 74,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 91 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 22 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 85 percent from last year's May.

25,900 nights (+137.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 24,400 nights (+42.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 280,000 registered bed nights (+3.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 26,200 (-87.5 %) for foreigners in Troms Og Finnmark, in total 306,000 (-36.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 5.1 percent

Total of 1.6 million registered bed nights (+51.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.5 million nights (+52.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 103,000 nights (+45.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Troms Og Finnmark out of total registered bed nights was 5.1 % (+0.9 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 5.1 % and foreign bed nights 4.4 %.

38,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 117 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.8 percent were domestic, and 4.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Troms Og Finnmark on average 2.0 nights (-0.3) and foreigners 2.8 nights (-1.0).
