Registered bed nights increased 79 percent

In February 2022, 128,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Trøndelag (+79.2 %), of which 117,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 10,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 75 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 135 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 79 percent from last year's February.

47,700 nights (+113.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 53,800 nights (+67.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 190,000 registered bed nights (+66.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 20,100 (+61.9 %) for foreigners in Trøndelag, in total 210,000 (+66.1 %) registered nights.

Market share 7.2 percent

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+92.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (+56.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 466,000 nights (+432.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Trøndelag out of total registered bed nights was 7.2 % (-0.5 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 9.0 % and foreign bed nights 2.3 %.

64,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 136 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.7 percent were domestic, and 7.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trøndelag on average 2.0 nights (-0.58) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-2.3).

Registered accommodation sales in February were 81.8 million crowns (+41.3 million).

Registered January-February sales were 134.1 million crowns and they increased 60.5 million euro from the previous year.
