Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 230 percent

In April 2021, 75,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Trøndelag (+230.0 %), of which 69,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 6,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 220 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 430 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 230 percent from last year's April.

19,600 nights (+484.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 25,900 nights (+124.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 254,000 registered bed nights (-31.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 25,400 (-39.2 %) for foreigners in Trøndelag, in total 280,000 (-32.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 8.5 percent

Total of 883,000 registered bed nights (+166.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 788,000 nights (+184.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 94,300 nights (+75.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Trøndelag out of total registered bed nights was 8.5 % (+1.6 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 8.8 % and foreign bed nights 6.6 %.

Length of stay increased two percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. In Trøndelag, length of stay in April was on average 2.4 nights and in Norway 2.8 nights (-3.0 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trøndelag on average 2.3 nights (+37.0 %) and foreigners 2.7 nights (+53.1 %).

31,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 220 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.8 percent were domestic, and 7.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trøndelag on average 2.3 nights (+0.07) and foreigners 2.7 nights (-0.98).
