Registered bed nights increased 158 percent

In February 2022, 78,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Trondheim (+157.9 %), of which 70,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 148 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 330 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 158 percent from last year's February.

34,700 nights (+132.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 37,200 nights (+183.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 113,000 registered bed nights (+125.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 13,700 (+148.2 %) for foreigners in Trondheim, in total 127,000 (+127.4 %) registered nights.

Market share 4.4 percent

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+92.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (+56.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 466,000 nights (+432.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Trondheim out of total registered bed nights was 4.4 % (+1.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 5.4 % and foreign bed nights 1.6 %.

43,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 192 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.2 percent were domestic, and 7.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Trondheim on average 1.8 nights (-0.23) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-0.67).

Registered accommodation sales in February were 57.0 million crowns (+36.9 million).

Registered January-February sales were 94.1 million crowns and they increased 56.5 million euro from the previous year.
