In April 2019, 134,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Tunturi-Lappi (-1.6 %), of which 111,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 22,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased one percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 11 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased two percent from last year's April.
116,000 nights (-3.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 17,400 nights (+12.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 283,000 registered bed nights (-4.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 319,000 (-1.0 %) for foreigners in Tunturi-Lappi, in total 602,000 (-2.6 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased one percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. In Tunturi-Lappi, length of stay in April was on average 3.7 nights and in Finland 1.9 nights (-0.4 %).
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tunturi-Lappi on average 3.8 nights (+0.2 %) and foreigners 3.2 nights (-3.4 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased three percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 80.1 percent were domestic, and 19.9 percent were from foreign countries.
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tunturi-Lappi on average 3.8 nights (+0.04) and foreigners 3.2 nights (-0.03).
