Paid bed nights
Registered bed nights increased two percent
In June 2019, 38,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Tunturi-Lappi (+2.3 %), of which 25,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 13,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 10 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased two percent from last year's June.
31,300 nights (-3.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 7,700 nights (+32.6 %) by business visitors.
Between January and June, 322,000 registered bed nights (-3.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 338,000 (-0.1 %) for foreigners in Tunturi-Lappi, in total 660,000 (-1.6 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased 13 percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 13 percent compared to earlier year. In Tunturi-Lappi, length of stay in June was on average 1.8 nights and in Finland 1.8 nights (+0.4 %).
During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tunturi-Lappi on average 2.1 nights (+2.9 %) and foreigners 1.3 nights (-2.1 %).
22,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased nine percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 54.2 percent were domestic, and 45.8 percent were from foreign countries.
During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tunturi-Lappi on average 2.1 nights (+0.31) and foreigners 1.3 nights (+0.12).
