Registered bed nights increased 34 percent

In October 2021, 30,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Tunturi-Lappi (+34.1 %), of which 27,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 29 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 137 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 34 percent from last year's October.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (580 nights).

22,000 nights (+27.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 8,000 nights (+55.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 578,000 registered bed nights (+52.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 28,400 (-90.4 %) for foreigners in Tunturi-Lappi, in total 607,000 (-10.1 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.8 percent

Total of 1.7 million registered bed nights (+47.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.5 million nights (+39.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 200,000 nights (+149.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Tunturi-Lappi out of total registered bed nights was 1.8 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.9 % and foreign bed nights 1.2 %.

12,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 43 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.1 percent were domestic, and 7.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Tunturi-Lappi on average 2.5 nights (-0.16) and foreigners 2.5 nights (-0.09).
