Turku Archipelago: Tourism in a nutshell
37,700 registered bed nights (July)
In July 2020, 37,700 bed nights were recorded in Turku Archipelago (-5.4 %), of which 36,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,100 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased four percent and foreign bed nights decreased 77 percent. In total, bed nights decreased five percent from last year's July.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (300 nights).
35,500 nights (-5.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,200 nights (-0.4 %) by business visitors.
Between January and July, 68,200 bed nights (+2.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,100 (-72.0 %) for foreigners in Turku Archipelago, in total 71,300 (-8.2 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

23,600 tourists arrived to accommodation (July)
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 13 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 97.6 percent were domestic, and 2.4 percent were from foreign countries.
During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Turku Archipelago on average 1.6 nights (-0.29) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.32).

Registered accommodation sales in July were 1.2 million euro (+123,000).
Registered January-July sales were 2.3 million euro and they decreased 141,000 euro from the previous year.
