Turku Archipelago: Tourism in a nutshell
1,800 registered bed nights
In April 2020, 1,800 bed nights were recorded in Turku Archipelago (-58.3 %), of which 1,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 310 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 56 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 68 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 58 percent from last year's April.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Estonia (162 nights).
1,300 nights (-61.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 570 nights (-48.9 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 8,500 bed nights (-2.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,500 (+37.6 %) for foreigners in Turku Archipelago, in total 12,000 (+6.8 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 79 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 96.1 percent were domestic, and 3.9 percent were from foreign countries.
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Turku Archipelago on average 3.7 nights (+1.9) and foreigners 18 nights (+12).
