Registered bed nights increased 159 percent
In April 2021, 4,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Turku Archipelago (+159.4 %), of which 4,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 73 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 210 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 76 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 159 percent from last year's April.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Latvia (18 nights).
3,700 nights (+193.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,000 nights (+83.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 12,300 registered bed nights (+45.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 460 (-87.0 %) for foreigners in Turku Archipelago, in total 12,800 (+6.4 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 370 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.6 percent were domestic, and 1.4 percent were from foreign countries.
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Turku Archipelago on average 2.4 nights (-1.4) and foreigners 2.5 nights (-16).

Registered accommodation sales in April were 189,000 euro (+131,000).
Registered January-April sales were 542,000 euro and they increased 169,000 euro from the previous year.
